What the +EV finder is
The +EV finder compares each price at the books you pick against a fair price, and lists the ones where the price pays more than the fair odds say it should. That gap is expected value (EV). It is one screen with three presets in the sidebar:
| Preset | Route | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Sportsbook Props | #/props | Player props and their alternate lines at your books. |
| Game Lines | #/lines | Moneylines, spreads, totals, team totals and alternates. |
| +EV Sniper | #/sniper | Every market at every book on one board, ranked by EV. |
All three run the same math in your browser with your settings, so changing the devig method or the book weights re-prices every row instantly. The fair price for a row is always built without the book you're betting: a book can't vouch for its own price.
How to read the screen
The top bar has the gold Book: selector (All books, My books, or one book), ghost dropdowns for league, market type (All markets, Game lines, Player props, Alt lines) and start window, a search box, Filters (n), the Columns picker and Learn. Active filters show as removable chips above the table, with "Clear all".
- Play: league, matchup and start time, then the player or team, then the market and line.
- Your price: the price at the book, with the net price after fees under it for exchanges.
- EV: the green pill. EV = fair probability × net decimal − 1.
- To hit: the fair probability of the side, with its fair odds underneath.
- Kelly: the stake your Kelly settings suggest, in dollars and percent of bankroll.
- Books at line: the books whose prices at this exact line back the fair.
- Price age (hidden by default) and Every book's price: turn them on in Columns. Nothing is dropped; hidden columns come back there.
Badges tell you how much to trust the fair. EXACT LINE means the fair came from the books' two-way prices at this very line. MODELLED means there was no exact two-way market, so the fair comes from a ladder fitted across every line, capped by what the other books' prices at that line imply. ALT LINE marks an alternate. THIN and OFF-MARKET are cautions; off-market prices are hidden unless you turn on "Show flagged prices".
Each row has three actions: Open at <book> (the book's generic site, no affiliate code; offshore books are never linked), + Track and Hide. Track and Hide save on this device. Click a row to open the detail drawer: a "Where to bet" table, the Fair ladder chart and a written Why this is +EV block with the exact numbers.
Worked example
An underdog moneyline is priced at four books and you can bet it at Fliff, a sweepstakes book, at +125. The other books quote: Pinnacle −120 / +110, FanDuel −125 / +105, DraftKings −122 / +102, Novig −116 / +112. With the defaults (probit devig, All books, Fliff excluded from its own fair):
Devigged underdog probability: Pinnacle 46.54%, FanDuel 46.61%, DraftKings 47.27%, Novig 46.73% (an exchange is taken at the mid of its net asks)
Fair = equal-weight average = 46.79% → fair odds +114
Your net decimal at +125 = 2.25
EV = 0.4679 × 2.25 − 1 = +5.27%
Full Kelly = (1.25 × 0.4679 − 0.5321) ÷ 1.25 = 4.22% of bankroll
At the default Kelly × 0.25: 1.05% → about $10.55 on a $1,000 bankroll (under the 5% cap)
The row would show +125 at Fliff, a +5.27% EV pill, To hit 46.8% with +114 underneath, Books at line 4, and the Kelly stake.
Using it well
- Pick your books. Set My books on the Account page, then choose My books in the Book: selector so every row is a bet you can actually place.
- Keep Min books honest. The default is 3. Raising it keeps thin markets off the top; lowering it shows more rows backed by less evidence.
- Read the badge before the EV. An exact-line fair from five books is stronger than a modelled fair at a far alternate line.
- Use the Max odds cap. The default is +400. Longshots lead on raw EV% and carry the most model risk.
Pitfalls
- Stale lines. The biggest "edges" are often a book that hasn't moved yet, or a fair built from books that haven't. Check Price age and confirm at the book.
- Limits. Books that limit winning bettors can cap you at small stakes. The Kelly figure is what the math suggests, not what the book will accept.
- Thin exchange markets. One resting order on an exchange can be small. Check depth before you size up.
- Modelled fairs. A fitted ladder is an estimate. Treat MODELLED rows with more caution, especially far from the main line.
- EV is long-run. A +5% bet still loses more than half the time at plus money. Results only show up over many bets.
